Well it has only been a couple of months since my last post, my posting is getting a bit to regular for my liking...LOL.
The last couple of months have been good for weightloss, I have dropped about another 10kgs, about 6kgs in March and about 4kgs in April. I also had a couple of weeks off in the middle so I am very happy with that weightloss.
Why is it working again? I guess the reason it is working is accountability and thinking. My biggest rule that I break is the old no drinking while eating rule, I sometimes do it without even thinking about it. I have really focused on obeying this rule over the last 2 months and it seems to be paying off.
We have all heard that saying about not dieting but changing your lifestyle etc. I read an interesting study on the changing of lifestyle which suggested that a change of lifestyle (which essentially is just changing habits) can be acheived in about 4 weeks. I think that is actually quite an accurate statement. After about 4 weeks of being strict on myself I noticed that I didn't really have to think about not drinking whilst eating. Anyway that is some food for thought (pun intended).
Also this blog is a reason, it may sound silly but putting pen to paper (so to speak) about your thoughts is almost like some weird sort of home based therapy as I am always honest and the reason I do this is for myself. I am not even sure if anyone reads this, but as I say I am not concerned it they do or don't I am writing these words for myself.
It would have been intersting to see what I would have lost had I not had a holiday. I think the holiday cost be a couple of kgs, not so much to food intake but more because of drinking. You see when I am on holiday I like to relax all the rules, it could be argued that this is silly but I enjoy relaxing the rules for a couple of weeks and for this it means indulgence. I drink things that I never drink when I am not on holidays, I am not speaking about alchol per se but also the odd chocolate milk and soft drink. Anyway I really enjoyed my break and breaking the rules.
Well that is about my update for now, all is progressing well, I haven't had a fill for a couple of months as I think my band is about right at the moment. The doc mentioned that this will change as more weightloss occurs due to the fact that there is some fat behind the band that will eventually fall way. I guess that scales will tell me when I need some more fill (along with my ability to be able to eat).
Cheers
